VA - Hochzeitsfest (1983)

Another weird swiss record, known as "Das Fest", "Hochzeitsfest LP" (=marriage) recorded live in Lucerne on 17.12.1982....

It was recorded at the marriage party of Brigitt and Achmed, now you want to know who they are? Sorry, I have no idea... Anyone?


Unfortenately I bought this LP without the original cover... but the green vinyl is very cool...

Well, I know the bands but I don't know the titles, you may think after reading the tracklist. So did I, when I bought this record in a second hand shop. In fact all songs were made by Xao Seffcheque, who parodies the musical nothings by several NDW Bands. One of the funniest records, I've ever heard! Highly recommended!

I found this very obscure swiss punk record a few weeks ago in a ragmarket for 2 Euro.

Hungry For What - The Shattered Dream E.P. (1985)

Hungry for What were a swiss punk band (with members of the band Sozz), that was quite succesfull with their Clash alike punk. Even though the band has toured with Chelseau, they never had their big break through. Hungry for What existed until 1989 oder 1990, but who wanted to listen to oldschool punk in the late 80ies?

However, here's the Shattered Dream EP, not a master piece but solid good oldschool punk.

VA - Bloodstains across Switzerland

This is a great compilation including many rare punk singles of the late 70ies/early eighties.

Records of Sperma, Glueams and Negativ cost 200 or even 300 $. Well, I would use that money to make my own punk record. ;)

However, there are some great and powerfull punk songs on this compilation!

Martin and Stephan Eicher were members of Glueams. After the band had split up, they formed Grauzone.

Dieter Meier (better known as a member of yello) had his own punk band and sang on severel singles of Fresh Colour/Frische Farbe.

The compilation also includes the swiss punk hymn "Züri Punx" (Sperma) and the "No CBS" 7'' by Rudolph Dietrich.
